Guest Author – Rosemary Wells

September 18, 2007

The Family Reading Partnership of Ithaca, New York invited the famous children’s author Rosemary Wells to the Kids Book Fest at Boynton Middle School in 2002-2003. Thousands of children and family members had a chance to meet her and read many of her books. One of her books called, Read to Your Bunny was read by all! It was exciting to have such a prominent guest author visit our reading community. We had a fantastic time at the Book Fest.

The students in my classroom fell in love with her as an author, and we loved each and every one of her books. We decided to develop a blog for one of our favorite Rosemary Wells books called, Yoko.

Tompkins County Human Rights Commission’s
20th Annual Art & Poetry Competition                   January 2007

In honor of the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this year’s theme for the Tompkins County Human Rights Commission’s 20th Annual Art & Poetry Competition is as follows:

“Even if I knew that tomorrow the
world would go to pieces,
I would still plant my apple tree.”

The students in Mrs. Denise C. Lee’s Fantastic 2nd Grade Class feel that they will still do many things in their lifetime.
This is what they will do:
